We are currently seeking a Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a vital 2-bed home in Barnsley. This is an incredible opportunity to shape a nurturing environment where young people can achieve their full potential.

Main Purpose of the Job
As the Registered Manager, you will hold overall accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, actively promoting the rights of young people as individuals and providing excellent care in accordance with organisational policies and procedures. You will lead a team of care workers, in line with relevant legislation and guidance, to achieve positive outcomes for young people, supporting their physical, psychological, emotional, and social development. You will also contribute significantly to the overall ethos, values, and aims of the organisation.
Requirements:
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Social Work Professional: You must hold a recognised social work qualification, such as a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and a QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent.
Proven Management Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children and, for at least 1 year, requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
Driving Licence: Must be licensed to drive a manual gear car and have consistent use of your own car with business insurance (proof will need to be supplied as part of onboarding).
Flexibility: Ability to undertake on-call duties (on average 2 duties per month).Enthusiasm for providing the highest quality care and education.
Benefits
Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
Ofsted Bonus: £3,000 bonus for an 'Outstanding' Ofsted Report.
Occupancy Bonus: £200 per month for full occupancy.
On-Call Payments: £25 for weekday on-call, £35 for weekend on-call.
Flexible Working: Normal working days are Monday-Friday (9am-5pm), with flexibility to meet rota requirements, including potential sleep-in duties.
Petrol Allowance: Paid when using your own car for business – proof of business insurance must be provided.
Pension: In line with the organisational Pension Scheme and government guidance.
