We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a successful and growing recruitment team in Manchester. This role is crucial for expanding the catering and hospitality client base across the North West. The ideal candidate will be a true "people person" with an extensive network and a passion for connecting great talent with leading businesses in the hospitality sector. This is a chance to use your industry knowledge to make a tangible impact and drive your career forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Actively seek out and secure new client partnerships within the catering and hospitality industry across the North West. This includes identifying key decision-makers, cold calling, and pitching our recruitment services.

  • Networking and Relationship Building: You will be the face of our business in Manchester's vibrant hospitality scene. It is essential that you attend industry events, build and nurture relationships with venues, and be a visible presence in the market.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and new business openings in the North West. You will use your deep market knowledge to identify opportunities and create a robust pipeline of potential clients.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed ambitious targets. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from initial contact and pitch to contract negotiation and closing.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the recruitment consultants to ensure a seamless process from securing a new client to placing the right candidates.

Requirements:


  • Catering and Hospitality Experience: You must have a strong background in the catering or hospitality industry. We need someone who understands the pressures, roles, and unique needs of the sector.

  • Recruitment Experience: Proven experience in a recruitment or sales-focused role is essential. You must have a track record of successfully winning new business and meeting targets.

  • Networking and Connections: You must have a strong network of contacts in the Manchester and North West hospitality scene. We are looking for a natural at spreading the word and building rapport.

  • Passion for People: You should genuinely love meeting new people and building lasting professional relationships.

  • Resilience and Drive: The ability to handle rejection and remain motivated to achieve sales targets is key to success in this role.
