The Opportunity

As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of the nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll help lead the team, uphold excellent standards of care and learning, and contribute to the overall development and success of the setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations.

  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory guidance.

  • Lead by example and support the ongoing professional development of nursery staff.

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and review of the curriculum.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers.

  • Help manage safeguarding procedures, health and safety protocols, and staff training initiatives.

  • Confidently step into the Manager’s role in their absence.

Requirements:

A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Childcare and Education.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a nursery environment, with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.

  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding policies, and child development principles.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • A caring, professional, and proactive approach to early years education.

  • A commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.
