Ainsworth Recruitment has been exclusively retained to appoint a high-calibre Sales Director for a specialised technology partner in the health and social care sector. Since 2016, our client has developed a robust workforce platform designed to solve the most critical pressure point in care delivery: the workforce.


Unlike generalist providers, the focus is 100% on the care sector. The end-to-end platform supports the entire employee journey—from hiring and training to bank management and neutral vendor solutions.


Sector: Residential Care | High-Growth SaaS

Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote with frequent national travel)


The Role

This is a pure new business (Hunter) role. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the workforce management portfolio through self-generated leads and relationship-led selling.

In the residential care sector, trust is built face-to-face. While digital tools are utilised, the default approach is in-person interaction. You will be on-site with prospects, understanding their operational pain points and building long-term credibility with senior stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Prospecting: Build and execute a self-generated new business plan, owning your target account list from scratch.

  • On-Site Discovery: Spend significant time on-site with residential care providers to understand their operations and build value-based cases for change.

  • Full Sales Lifecycle: Lead the process from initial outreach and multi-stakeholder navigation (Ops, HR, Finance, Digital) through to proposal and close.

  • SaaS Implementation: Deliver modular or end-to-end solutions depending on the client’s digital maturity.

  • Cross-Functional Handover: Ensure a seamless transition of new clients to the Implementation and Success teams.

Requirements:

  • SaaS Background: A proven track record in SaaS (Software as a Service) sales is essential, with a deep understanding of recurring revenue models.

  • Sector Expertise: Proven success in new business sales specifically within Residential Care.

  • Product Knowledge: Experience selling workforce technology (e.g., Rostering, HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, or Bank Management).

  • Resilience: Comfortable in a role with limited inbound demand; you are a self-starter who excels at generating your own pipeline.

  • Mobility: A willingness to travel extensively across the UK to meet clients in person.
