Ainsworth Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading healthcare organisation to find a highly motivated and results-driven Head of Marketing. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives that attract healthcare professionals and employers, strengthen brand positioning, and drive business growth nationwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to attract both healthcare professionals (candidates) and healthcare providers (clients).

  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends in healthcare recruitment and competitor activities.

  • Align all marketing efforts directly with core business goals, such as candidate acquisition, client retention, and brand visibility.

  • Brand & Reputation Management

  • Build and maintain a strong, positive brand presence within the healthcare sector.

  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to strict healthcare industry regulations and ethical standards.

  • Manage the organisation's online reputation through review platforms, testimonials, and employer branding initiatives.

  • Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Run multi-channel campaigns across SEO, PPC, social media, email, and content marketing to generate high-quality leads.

  • Develop targeted campaigns for specific healthcare professionals (Nurses, Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants) and for hiring organisations.

  • Track and optimise conversion rates using data-driven insights.


Candidate Attraction & Engagement


  • Create campaigns that effectively showcase job opportunities and career benefits for healthcare professionals.

  • Manage candidate pipelines using recruitment marketing automation tools.

  • Organise and execute events, webinars, and virtual job fairs to engage with potential candidates. 


Client Acquisition & Retention

  • Position the organisation as a trusted and reliable partner for healthcare employers. 

  • Develop tailored marketing collateral, including brochures, case studies, and proposals, for healthcare providers.

  • Support the sales and recruitment teams with dedicated lead nurturing campaigns.

  • Content & Communication

  • Produce valuable content, such as blogs, newsletters, and whitepapers, that addresses workforce challenges and provides career advice for candidates.

  • Ensure all messaging is tailored to different stakeholders, including candidates, clients, regulators, and internal staff.

  • Manage PR activities and build partnerships with healthcare associations or professional bodies.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor marketing campaign performance and provide clear reports on ROI.

  • Use data to refine targeting strategies and identify which channels attract the most suitable candidates

  • Provide leadership with actionable insights on market trends and new opportunities.

Compliance & Ethics


  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with GDPR, healthcare recruitment regulations, and advertising standards.

  • Maintain ethical communication, particularly regarding sensitive topics like employment, patient care, and workforce shortages.



Requirements:


Essential


  • 4–6 years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in recruitment, staffing, or the healthcare sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Indeed, LinkedIn, CRM systems, email marketing).

  • A proven track record in lead generation, campaign management, and ROI reporting.

  • Exceptional communication, copywriting, and storytelling skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.


Desirable

  • Direct experience in healthcare recruitment or the wider healthcare industry.

  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and recruitment regulations.

  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms.

  • Previous experience managing events, webinars, or career fairs.

  • A professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM or equivalent).
