Description:
Ainsworth Recruitment are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced National Business Development Manager/Director to lead and significantly expand this companies presence across the UK for one of the largest and most respected healthcare providers. In this critical leadership role, you will be instrumental in driving strategic SaaS initiatives, securing major MSP/RPO national accounts, and fostering long-term partnerships within the healthcare sector. Software as a Service (SaaS): Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to acquire and grow major accounts across various healthcare settings, including large hospital groups, national care providers, and strategic private healthcare organisations. This includes a specific focus on SaaS-based staffing MSP & RPO solutions and other technology-driven services.
New Business Development: Proactively identify, target, and win significant new business opportunities at a national level, focusing on high-value, long-term contracts for both permanent staffing and our SaaS recruitment platform.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers, C-suite executives, and procurement teams within target organizations, acting as a consultant to integrate our SaaS and staffing solutions into their talent strategy.
Proposal & Presentation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end process for complex proposals, tenders, and procurement responses, crafting compelling presentations that articulate our value proposition and secure national agreements.
Market Intelligence: Provide expert insights into national healthcare trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to inform strategic planning and service development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal recruitment, service delivery, and operational teams to ensure seamless client onboarding, exceptional service delivery, and achievement of client needs.
Revenue & Margin Growth: Drive substantial growth in revenue, hours, and margin across the national portfolio, consistently exceeding ambitious targets.
Brand Advocacy: Act as a senior ambassador for the organisation, reflecting our commitment to quality, compliance, and operational efficiency in all national engagements.
Requirements:
Extensive Experience: Proven track record (e.g., multiple years) in a senior business development, strategic sales, or national account management role within the healthcare recruitment or staffing industry.
Software as a Service (SaaS): Demonstrable expertise in Strategic Account SaaS methodologies and a successful history of securing and growing large, complex national contracts in the healthcare space.
Robust & Strategic Seller: A highly resilient, persuasive, and strategic sales professional with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and long sales cycles.
Commercial Acumen: Exceptional commercial awareness with a deep understanding of P&L, contract negotiation, and driving profitable growth.
Communication & Presentation: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including executive boards.
Procurement & Tendering: Solid experience in managing and winning large-scale procurement processes and tender submissions.
Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate internal and external stakeholders without direct authority.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the UK healthcare landscape, including current challenges, regulations, and future trends.

The Offer
Competitive Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
